Local processing

Resolve Telemetry Overlay reads and parses FIT, GPS, video, and DaVinci Resolve project data locally on your macOS or Windows x64 computer. We do not upload FIT files, video, or Resolve projects through our sales or licensing service.

Optional weather feature

Only when you provide an OpenWeather API key and enable weather, the plugin sends latitude, longitude, activity time extracted from FIT, and that API key directly to OpenWeather to retrieve historical weather for that place and time. The API key may be retained by Resolve as a regular plugin parameter in the project and is also saved in a local settings file readable only by the current system user so new weather overlays can reuse it; you can clear it in the plugin. LIGHTOUCH does not receive or store those weather queries. OpenWeather processes the request and necessary network information under its own privacy policy.

Purchase information

Stripe processes payments. We receive and retain the Stripe order ID, payment status, purchase email, amount, and currency needed to fulfil orders, refunds, and support. When checkout starts, the sales service also retains a keyed HMAC fingerprint derived from the connection IP, a coarse operating-system platform, and the country or region supplied by Cloudflare so we can investigate paid customers who accidentally use the trial path. We do not retain the raw purchase connection IP or place this fingerprint in Stripe metadata or ordinary logs. We do not receive or store full card numbers. Your purchase email is also used to deliver license keys and device-reset verification messages.

License information

Activation transmits the license key; activation and periodic refresh both transmit a device-binding hash, device model, system version, and connection IP address. Periodic refresh by the plugin also transmits the exact current DaVinci Resolve version and whether it is Free or Studio. macOS uses platform-v2; Windows x64 Official Release (Self-Signed) uses windows-machine-v1. The Windows MachineGuid is used only locally to derive a device hash; the raw MachineGuid is not uploaded and does not enter network requests, logs, or license files. On macOS, the license manager or plugin derives the hash locally by normalizing the IOPlatformUUID and applying domain-separated SHA-256; the raw IOPlatformUUID, hardware serial number, and Resolve project contents are not sent. All versions use HTTPS; current license managers and plugins additionally apply authenticated application-layer encryption to licensing requests and responses inside HTTPS, while the service temporarily remains compatible with HTTPS JSON requests from older clients. We retain activation status, the device-binding hash, activation and last-use IP addresses, model, system and Resolve version details, last refresh time, and a digest of refresh credentials to enforce the shared two-computer total across macOS and Windows x64, prevent abuse, troubleshoot activation and compatibility, and process deactivation. Trials are timed independently for each device by device_binding + device_hash. Missing fields in older records are filled on the next valid request; where the historical activation IP cannot be recovered, the first IP observed after the upgrade is retained. Reset links are single-use and expire after 15 minutes.

Website analytics

The product page uses Google Analytics to measure visits, page interactions, and browser and device categories so we can improve the page. Google may use cookies and processes necessary network and usage data under its privacy policy; we disable Google Signals and ad-personalization signals. Checkout session IDs, purchase status, and URL fragments are not sent to Google Analytics.

Retention and deletion

Order records are retained as required for accounting, tax, and dispute handling. Purchase-environment fingerprints, coarse platforms, and countries or regions are automatically removed after approximately 90 days. Activation records are retained while the license is valid. You may contact LIGHTOUCH to request access to, or deletion of, personal information where deletion is legally permitted.

Third-party services

Cloudflare provides sales, licensing, and download infrastructure; Stripe provides payment processing; Google Analytics provides website analytics; Feishu enterprise email SMTP delivers transactional mail; and OpenWeather handles optional weather queries. Each processes the network, usage, email, payment, or weather-query data necessary to provide its service under its own policies.
